need a laugh? Garrison Keillor
This was rebroadcast today. Runs the gamut from lawyer jokes, knock knock, how many ___ does it take to screw a light bulb, GW and Kerry...etc.
On Cheney's health issues, GW was heard saying "Men dont have anginas".
Kerry walks and into a bar, and the bartender asks "Why the long face?"
Q:Why did the popsicle cross the road?
A: Coz it was stuck to the chicken.

Every week on BBC Radio 7, it is been possible to listen to an hour of Garrison Keller's radio programme. I love his gentle but sharp humour. The schedules have recently changed alas, and I am seriously considering buying some audio CDs. Thanks for this, Afromusing.
JJR you are too kind, i find a prairie home companion an interesting show especially in its showcase of Americana. The 'shout outs' on the show remind me of radio back home where people would send 'salaams' (greetings..) to each other. Hilarious stuff. Its about time someone compiled those "Ninataka kutuma salamu kwa..." (i would like to send my greetings to) classics...
Mshairi, you are welcome, kudos to bbc for carrying the show, shifting schedules can be so annoying...the shows used to be available on audible.com but npr pulled from that arrangement, i think its been speculated that npr will start offering pay for audio on their site.
